The Color Run

The Color Run

Only the Color Run combines exercise, raising money for a great cause, dancing, and getting covered in colorful dye. I guess that’s why it’s called the happiest 5K on the planet! Last weekend, Driver SPG staff and family members met at the Irvine Great Park to participate in the OC Color Run and raise money for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County, an organization that provides mentorship and support for children so they can realize their potential and build positive futures.

Each runner is given an official Color Run t-shirt and head band as well as two packets of colored dye, which immediately became ammo for throwing at friends and family. There are four checkpoints on the 5K course, each with a horde of volunteers eagerly waiting to douse the runners in color. The SPG team finished the race in about 45 minutes but spent just as much time running as we did dancing and posing for pictures. It was a fun way for our team to spend Saturday morning together and support a great organization at the same time. Check out some of the pictures below!
