Driver SPG Open House

This year’s Open House was our best one yet! The event had a carnival theme that featured red, white, and gold décor, fun games, a candy bar, and a Cryogenic Dessert Lab serving up kettle corn and cheesecake bites frozen with liquid nitrogen. Our guests were also able to see the recently completed expansion of our office space while listening to a live jazz trio and enjoying local craft beer from The Bruery and Left Coast Brewing Company. For each guest in attendance, Driver SPG has pledged to sponsor a field trip for a child from Olive Crest – a local non-profit that provides support and care for abused, neglected, and at-risk children and their families – to visit The Discovery Cube in Santa Ana. We had 100 guests attend the event, so we will be able to provide a field trip for 100 kids from Olive Crest this summer!

Our carnival game was also a way for guests to raise money for their favorite non-profit organization. Each guest was able to play our Floppin’ Fish Toss game and the amount of points they scored is the amount of money that Driver SPG donated to the charity of their choice. Together, we were able to raise money and awareness for The Special Olympics, Olive Crest, and Someone Cares Soup Kitchen. We also featured some of the work that SPG has done with the ALS Association of Orange County and HomeAid Inland Empire over the last few years. This year, Driver SPG has committed to renovating four homes for individuals with ALS and will also act as the Builder Captain for HomeAid’s new Care Center in Orange.

The evening also featured a raffle where we gave away tickets to an Angel’s game, a Newport Harbor Cruise, a round of golf at Newport Beach Country Club, and a year-long subscription to Netflix. We would like to say thank you to everyone who attended for making it such a fun and impactful night. We hope to see you next year!
