The 43,340 SF expansion of the Discovery Science Center’s facility included new exhibit space, labs, and doubled the DSC’s guest capacity. Phase I of the Discovery Science Center expansion consisted of adding 18,000 SF of new exhibit space as well as tenant improvements to 4,000 SF of the existing facility. The project included an Education Wing with galleries and exhibit space as well as a Showcase Theater with 10,000 SF of flex space and 500 retractable seats. The Natural Resources Pavilion includes labs and interactive exhibits for kids to enjoy while the project also added eight new ticket windows and increased guest capacity from 500,000 to 1,000,000 annually.
