Driver SPG’s Caltech KISS Tolman-Bacher Compound project recently won ENR CA’s 2014 Best Small Project (Under $10 Million) Award! The project included renovating the Historic, Mission-style Tolman-Bacher house into office space and a student lounge, as well as the addition of a LEED-Platinum-certified conference center with administrative offices. The 25,000 SF compound provides space for the Keck Institute for Space Studies and the Caltech Board of Trustees and serves as a venue for aerospace/engineering seminars and conferences.
Each year, Engineering News-Record publishes its Regional Best Projects list honoring the companies that built and designed innovative projects throughout California. This year, ENR CA received 140 entries (40% more than the previous year) in a variety of categories. Congratulations to the project team – Art Torres, Mike Sosa, Barbara Payne, and Cynthia Bribiesca – for all of their hard work!
