There were a lot of exciting things happening at our Open House event last week. We turned our conference room into a project gallery to showcase some of our recent projects, such as the Premier Chevrolet Dealership in Buena Park, Mark IV Office Building in Newport Beach, and Chapman University’s Health Sciences Campus in Irvine. We even had an 8-foot model of our Discovery Science Center Expansion project in Santa Ana.
Our guests enjoyed a night of passed appetizers, networking, and a flaming bananas foster dessert station. We also constructed an oversized mobile which hung from the ceiling and displayed some of our community service events from the last year.
We invited five local non-profit organizations to our Open House this year and gave each of them a platform to display the work they’re doing for our neighbors in need. Driver SPG has committed to partnering with these five organizations throughout 2014 in a variety of ways, including:
ALS Association of Orange County:
• 4 Home Renovations for Families with ALS
• Participating in ALS 5K Walk in October
• Transportation Assistance for Wheelchairs and Medical Equipment
HomeAid Inland Empire:
• Donation Drive for Families in Transitional Housing
• Estimating Services for New Shelter
• Recruiting Corporate Sponsorships
• Sponsoring Annual Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser
Royal Family Kids:
• Donated 8 New Bikes & Helmets
• Donated Rock Wall for Birthday Celebration
Kristie’s Foundation:
• Monetary Donation for OC Hospice Facility
• Kid’s Wish List Fulfillment – Sporting Events, Concerts, Etc.
• Recruiting Corporate Sponsorships
Veteran’s First:
• Renovations at Transitional Housing
• Care Package Donations for Newly-Housed Vets
• Sponsorship for “Stand Down” Event in September
